About UsWhy Does A Successful Businessman With An MBA, Who Has Held Key Management Positions With Two Fortune 500 Companies, Care About YOUR Mold Problem?
It's personal.
While building his janitorial company, David Stough discovered
a growing concern for his clients and their properties – on-going
mold problems. Unfortunately, an immediate and cost-effective
solution for treating mold problems wasn't available. That's
when personal tragedy struck.
One of David's close family members took ill after attempting to remove mold from her new residence. The reaction was so severe, she died 24 hours later. This heartbreak crystallized David's resolve and he vowed, "If I can, I will try to stop anyone else from experiencing the same horror."
With the direction and purpose of Next Generation now galvanized, he moved toward the future. Over the next several years, David studied, researched, and attended many mold and mold related seminars. As a result of this dedication, he and the company earned multiple certifications from industry trade associations and national certifying entities.
It quickly became apparent that very few companies providing mold prevention and remediation services had Next Generation's expertise, skill-level, knowledge, certifications and research capacity. Because of this, David realized he could make the biggest and most significant contribution to the industry as a national entity.
In moving into the national realm, Next Generation noted Six major concerns:
- The ongoing use of toxic chemicals
- No proactive treatment available
- No systematic diagnostic approach
- No "after treatment" protection for customers
- Poor communication
- Need for local connection
Next Generation is not in the mold business, we're in the service business.
The principle problem in the mold prevention and remediation industry is the lack of a systematic, cost-effective approach to prevent or determine the scope of a clients mold problem. Wanting something better, Next Generation created the IPD - Inspection and Preliminary Determination – tool. This three-step inspection system utilizes national standards developed by the various trade associations and determines 1) if a problem exists; 2) to what degree the problem exists, and 3) what is the current condition.
A second problem in the industry is that MOST mold prevention and remediation companies receive final payment upon removing all visible signs of mold, not for removing the mold completely! In most cases, there is no warranty or guarantee of work which means the consumer has no protection or legal recourse if the mold returns. With the final payment, all responsibility for the work ends. At Next Generation we have developed and use products including proactive and removal treatments we stand behind. By doing so, we can offer a One-year warranty with our Stat-Control product and 10-year warranty with our Electro-Static Shield product. In addition, we can offer our clients a lifetime warranty with certain treatment applications.
While there are solutions to almost all of today's mold issues, a lack of communication often prohibits the sharing of this knowledge among trade associations, competing companies, vendors and consumers. Next Generation has taken a step toward better communication by starting with our customers. Our Channel of Communication ensures clients are able to get the answers they deserve within 24-hours!
Next Generation is not in the "mold business," we're in the "service business." We believe the best way to ensure each customer's needs are met on a national level is through locally owned and operated companies that follow the processes and techniques that Next Generation has developed. In order to maintain the integrity of this standard, David Stough and the Regional Affiliate personally review each candidate before final acceptance into the Next Generation Family.
David Stough's personal and sincere hope is to make a significant difference in the mold prevention and remediation industry so that no one else will have to experience the loss of a loved one due to lack of help and information.
